Trendy Tot Thursday

As we all know, when we want kids to perform we shout “say cheeeeeese” and your child laughs and runs off with snot all over their face saying, “no Mummy”. So the day these pictures were taken, it was totally by accident. We were on our way for Sunday lunch at our local pub and Luca decided to try and do a runner by sprinting around the car park. I have to say it was making me giggle lots, seeing his Dad legging it around the car park – so of course I decided to take some pictures of them. The car park is being developed so it looks a sodding mess but we think Luca looked particularly cute and trendy in these pics and lots of people asked where his shirt and shoes were from, so we thought we would share the details with you.

Luca’s coat was purchased from Sainsbury’s Tu range (by his Uncle Craig) last year. I think this cost around £20.00. This coat is fab because it’s very lightweight and you can detach the hood, so it can be worn throughout the year.

Luca’s shirt was purchased from Monsoon when he was only a few months old as I fell in love with the design (cute little camper vans). Every time Luca wears this shirt, people comment on it.  On this this particular day, two people asked where they could buy it from. The shirt was £25.00, which is probably a lot for a toddler shirt, but I just couldn’t resist it.

Luca’s jeans are from H&M and we have a few pairs of these in various colours as they are a great fit and soft material. These retail at £10.00 per pair. Luca’s shoes are from Next and cost £15.99 (winter season). These are slip-on but with a lovely lace detail too.

I hope you enjoyed reading my Trendy Tot post and hopefully you will see Luca and I at this link-up a lot more often now that i’m getting to grips with this blogging lark 😉

I said, ‘give me your best pose’ and this is what I got!! – Mick Jagger ha ha

The outfit Luca is wearing is a NFL/American Apparel ‘Raiders’ T-shirt which we bought from Designer Kidz at McCarthur Glen Retail Outlet (it also came with a pair of long black shorts) and this set retails at £20.00 – Oh and that’s a piece of popcorn on the floor. The little monkey had been sniffing around the cupboards in the kitchen before we left for the park.

Luca’s red trousers are from H&M and cost £10, these are very soft and he has the same pair but in mustard. As you can tell, Luca is in desperate need of a haircut, any recommendations on keeping him calm and not freaking out during the cut would be greatly appreciated. He is currently known as ‘mullet boy’ so a haircut is well over-due.

We are just going to the park in this photo so we popped Luca’s old Adidas hightops on as they are very comfy and soft. These were also from McCarthur Glen Retail Park, the Adidas shop, and the RRP was £25.99

We then put Luca into a basic hoodie from Sainsbury’s Tu range which was £5 in the sale. They also have this hoodie in red, its a really nice fabric and a very good price. Euuww, the front door and windows need a good clean and varnish, any offers?

Over the top of his fleece, Luca is wearing a FireTrap bodywarmer which was also purchased from Designer Kidz at McCarthur Glen. This was £30.00 last Christmas but he has only just grown into it.

Trendy Tot Thursday (15/03/15)

Today, we have been to see ‘Nana and Gan-dad’ to drop off a lovely bunch of flowers and card for Mother’s Day. Nana wanted a cuddle, Luca wanted an apple – and then soon disappeared to play on their garden.

Luca told me the apple was his friend and he was showing him round the garden – ha ha

Luca is wearing his funky Adidas Hightop Trainers. These trainers are fab as there are no laces to mess about with, just a velcro strap. We bought these a couple of months ago from Deichmann, Intu Derby. They were in the sale for £19.99, so a great bargain.

We bought Luca’s jeans from H&M some time ago but he has only just grown into them. They were £10.00, so once again, a great price. Luca’s checked shirt is Ralph Lauren and his Jacket is Rocawear. I purchased these two items from a second hand designer kids clothing shop, called ‘Little Treasures’, last year. This shop was amazing, really good quality designer clothes but unfortunately it has since closed down. I was also able to sell some of Luca’s clothes that he had grown out of, and this then enabled me to buy some new clothes and pre-loved toys. It’s a real shame as I don’t like spending too much on toddler clothing as, all parents will testify, nice clothes don’t stay nice for long, so this is a rare glimpse at some items that aren’t covered in spaghetti sauce, stickers and snot.

I hope you enjoyed reading my Trendy Tot post and hopefully you will see Luca and I at this link-up a lot more often, now that i’m getting to grips with this blogging lark 😉
